Seeing Double

BLOG CRUSH ALERT!

Only this time, it's even better, because today's blog crush features not 1, not 2, not even 3... but 4 bloggers!!! OK i take that back - it's actually 2 blogs of 2 adorable married couples, but 4 sounded better than 2, no?

ANYWAY, i'm featuring these two blogs together b/c: (1) i majorly *heart* both of them, (2) the similarities between them are uncanny, and (3) 2 is better than 1.

With that being said, allow me to introduce...

Chris and Stacey Sargent of Love and Photographs; and

Josh and Naomi Davis of The Rockstar Diaries!

Now, although these are couples blogs, it's mostly the chicas doing the posting, and as adorable as these hubbies are, it's mostly the ladies with whom i've fallen in love. I first found Stacey's blog a few months ago when she won a contest over at Cupcakes and Cashmere. I instantly fell in love with her adorably perky outlook on life, her Anthro-inspired vintage style, and her killer bangs. (I think i even told her that her bangs reminded me of Erin's from The City on MTV.)

One of the things i love best about her? How much she loves her family. Stacey is married to Chris, and it's so obvious these two are head-over-heels in love with each other. And instead of being overly sappy and annoying, it's endearing and sweet. :-) Aren't they cute?

I stumbled upon Naomi's blog just last week (i think was so overwhelmed with work that i took a mandatory 20-minute blog break). Oh *SWOON* wow, is this girl stunning or what? Like Stacey, Naomi's got a vintage style to-die-for and yes, killer bangs!

Naomi is a Juliard graduate (where she was a dancer - how cool is that??), has an insatiable lust for all things Pinkberry and McDonald's (another thing i LOVE about her), and like Stacey, is completely smitten with her hubby.

A few more similarities... (and reasons you should love them, too!)

1. S & N both have great style. The best thing about it, though, is that they manage to come off as beautiful, sweet, sexy thangs without being half-naked. That's a rarity in this day and age, and i fully respect them for that.

2. They're both obsessed with Polaroids.

3. They're both obsessed with FOOD! (me too - can you tell??)

4. They both have doting, adorable hubbies who are fine examples of what hubbies should be.

5. They've both Mormon.

6. They both love taking pictures, and their blogs are full of eye candy.

7. They both have big families and sisters galore (my fave!).

8. They both make you want to be a better person.

9. They both have Etsy shops featuring some fabulous headbands (i would've bought some, but my freakishly large head won't have it).

10. They are both quality BFF material. :-)

And last, but not least... I commented on Stacey's blog after i discovered Naomi's and told her that i found this chick whose life seemed so oddly similar to hers that she had to check it out. Well, guess what?

They already know each other!! Ha, of course they do. They used to dance together way back in the day and have reconnected via the blogosphere. Adorable. Perfect. My two blog crushes are friends! Doesn't get any better than that. Aren't they gorgeous?

P.S. I can't say THANK YOU enough for all the wonderfully supportive, sweet, kind and compassionate comments on the last post. It's people like you that make it easier to be honest and open on my blog, and i'm so SO grateful. Don't you wish we could all have a big bloggerific party and build a giant fort and eat cupcakes and sip champagne??

A Few Thoughts...

(B/c it's been a looooong afternoon, and i can't get my head to stop spinning long enough to write a proper post!)

1. Everyone went ga-ga over the Christian Louboutin sale on Gilt Group this morning, but i was beyond disappointed. Sure they had a select few black pumps, but for the most part, the shoes on sale were B-O-R-I-N-G. I want my first pair of Louboutin's (and yes, there WILL be a first pair...and hopefully many more!) to be FABULOUS, yo!

(P.S. My guy friend B's twitter status earlier : "Amazed by number of times I 've seen "Louboutin" on Twitter today. What I gather . . . on sale, causes crazy, and hurts productivity." Haha GUILTY!)

2. The Texas economy has been one of the last to be hit by the Recession (aka Depression Part Deux), but i'm finally starting to see the effects on small businesses here in Austin. Seventh Street Yoga now only has an online presence, and i'm still kicking myself for never taking a class there. The studio was beautiful, and i'm really sad for the owners. My fave lil pet shop "The Furr Factor" has a big FOR LEASE sign in its window, which is really sad b/c i used to take Lola there all the time when she was a puppy (further proof that when i stop shopping, the economy goes downhill!). Sad day...

3. Speaking of the "Recession", if things are so bad then why the heck was the giant flagship Whole Foods on 5th/Lamar BURSTING at the seams today?? Seriously, dude, that food ain't cheap, and even I have had to cut back on my Central Market/Whole Foods trips, but it seems that quality food is going to be the last thing to go on people's lists (which makes sense to me, but oh GOD, talk about major headache getting in and out of there on my lunch break!).

4. Am BEYOND excited that Jen Lancaster's fourth book, "Pretty In Plaid", will be released in just a few weeks!! If you haven't read any of her memoirs, i dare you to not laugh out loud. She's. Friggin. Hilarious.

5. How funny that just yesterday i tweeted about my obsession with Miroslava Mikheeva Duma and this morning, when i checked my dailies, i found that the lovable Garance and i were TOTALLY on the same page! (and yes i realize that it really isn't coincidence at all seeing as how fashion sites discuss her almost daily) I'm so impressed with this fashionista that i'm going to cut this list short and leave you with these stunning, inspiring images... (p.s. i want her hair!!)

GIRL CRUSH ALERT!

My love of blogs all began with Kimberly Wilson and Hip Tranquil Chick. Since then, i've grown to love design and decor blogs (Apartment Therapy, decor8, design sponge, etc.), simple living/family blogs (Domestic Reflections, Lobotome, Simple Lovely, and yes maybe even a little tabloid gossip via the infamous Perez Hilton. Surprisingly the one genre of blog i never got too into was fashion. Considering i used to (corporate America has destroyed my sense of style) be obsessed with fashion/shopping/trends/etc., i always found it surprising. Maybe it's because i never found a blog that presented affordable options (Gucci, Chanel, and Prada i love, but i CANNOT and probably will not ever AFFORD)... or maybe because the style presented was never achievable in real life. Whatever the case may be, i am happy to announce that i've not only stumbled upon a fashion blog that i LOVE (Forever 21 mixed with Anthropologie? lacey, frilly dresses with rugged motorcycle boots? a lace slip with badass red boots?? YES, please!!), but i've also found my latest girl crush.

Now that Lindsay Price and her hot bod are no longer gracing the small screen, there's been a bit of a void in my life. I enjoy looking at pictures of beautiful women who have exceptional style - what can i say? And i'd prefer not to turn towards the pages of People and US Weekly if i can help it. So while perusing some of my fave blogs today, i stumbled across Cupcakes and Cashmere. The name alone drew me in, but once i started scrolling i became hopelessly smitten. Hmm what can i say about Emily, this gorgeous 20-something SoCal gal with a killer wardrobe, killer bod, great job, popular blog, and probably incredible boyfriend? Oh, just that i want to BE HER, and since that can't happen, i want to be her BFF. Or, at the very least, i'd love to take her to lunch (and perhaps do some shopping?) and ask her the requisite 100+ questions i like to ask all potential BFF's. Unfortunately for me (and fortunately for her, some might say..) she lives in L.A. and probably has zero time for nutcases like moi. Still, a girl can dream, yes? Plus i have all of her blog archives to go through. ;-)

Oh and in case you didn't believe me?
