5. Lose 4 lbs (um.... help?)
6. Give running another shot

1. eat out at most 3x a week
2. keep kitchen clean (wash dishes every night)
3. do laundry once a week
4. research graduate school programs and set up application strategy / schedule
5. go to the beach at least twice.
6. go to salsa class every week. hopefully at the end of July or August I'll be good enough to actually go dance at a salsa club.

Must create some monthly goals! I'll think about them today and come up with something.

I would love to hear about your morning ritual once you've created it!

Have you read "Simple Abundance" by Sarah Ban Breathnach? She has some wonderful ideas for creating rituals.

My morning ritual is to wake up, drink a mug of warm water with lemon, do some yoga or head out for a quick (20 minute) run, take a hot shower or bath, drink green tea while I do my hair/makeup, and then check email/blogs for a couple minutes (while eating oatmeal or cereal with soy milk) before leaving for work. I guess this is more of a routine than a ritual, but it's quite calming and gets my day off to a good start!

I like your idea of setting monthly goals and then reflecting on them at the end of the month... I think I'll give it a try. I'm sure my list will grow well beyond anything I can actually accomplish. Oh well, I'll try anyway!

Very doable goals - I am struggling with the whole morning ritual thing too - not just having one, but also the whole ritual vs routine and what do i really want from my mornings.

Happy July!

you are so cute! with your little card-to-do-list. i love using cards. so much more inspirational!

i started a morning/daily ritual the week after you visited, and it has been working out very well! i feel so much more satisfied at the end of the day.

last week i ordered a new journal, and i can not WAIT for it to arrive. i check the mail every day and... nothing. i use it mainly as a to-do-list, so it needs to hurry up and get here if i'm going to get anything done hah!

i have major thrifting to do today, for the band's photo shoot this weekend, wish you were here - you had so many amazing finds last time!!

I must begin (again) my 1/2 marathon training.

I must go to at least 2 yoga classes a week.

I must learn to cook (I'm seriously a disaster).

And I must remain sane through this entire month (may be difficult with secret on the brain... UGH).

Wait, did you read my Morning Pages? How did you know what my goals were?

It's a little crazy, how much we have in common. But it also makes me feel like we are less alone in the world than we thought.
