P.S.

My cable gets cut off today. i must confess that last night while watching a DVR-ed episode of Jon and Kate Plus Eight, i got un peu sad. Okay, a lot sad. It's going to be weird when i turn on the telly and get a black screen.

Also? Today is Day #1 of the Shopping Challenge. So far i have...

1. successfully avoided the Marc by Marc Jacobs sale on Gilt Group

2. ignored an email from Anthropologie kindly informing me that they are having a SURPRISE SALE ON CURRENT SPRING MERCHANDISE (almost had me pushing back the start date but then i realized, that was way cheating)

3. avoided internet shopping at Ruche - a new to me Anthro-meets-F21 online store that i found via Budget Babe

I love your challenge idea...a good thing that I have done to NOT get tempted online is unsubscribe from all shopping emails. That way I do not find out about the sales :)

Agreed on the avoiding the emails - I have my gmail set up to deliver them into a specific folder - somehow I manage to forget to check the folder.

So the blog is up and somewhat running, it doesn't look nearly as pretty as yours and I hate putting things up before they are "done" - but I need to start because I've been telling myself for years and years that I need to start a blog...so it's about time!

I'm still figuring the whole thing out, it'll get there :)

great job on the shopping/tv challenge! with more time & money you'll find fun & creative ways to fill the void. On to new adventures!

hi, thanks for stopping by my blog! i live in cibolo (just northeast of san antonio) and i work in new braunfels (which i LOVE). i'm hoping to move to nb someday soon.

by the way, i totally respect the no cable commitment and i just have to say that i went 1 year without cable (mainly because i was just that lazy to set it up) and it really made a difference in how i spent my precious non-work hours. so, you might find that you won't miss the cable as much as you thought.

I too get those emails from gilt group and anthropologie everyday...very tempting. You have better self control than I!

Thanks for the sweet comment about my hair...made my day!
