Well the mood from my previous cheery post has soured. I walked into the parking garage at work only to discover that my car. had. been. hit. Was there a note on my window? Mais non, of course not. Were there any vehicles around with suspicious dentage/scratchage? No. You can see from the picture that it's not a devastating blow (physically), BUT it's the bumper and undoubtedly will cost more than $1k to fix. I've had my car for less than 4 months. FOUR MONTHS!! Le sigh. I can't help but ask... why me?? Grr.

oh no!!! that's happened to me before, and believe me, i was HACKED!! i even ended up finding the car that likely hit me (due to the spot their car was damaged and my paint color right there on their car), but couldn't do anything about it without HUGE legal proceedings that would have cost more than just fixing the car. i'm sorry lova!
That SUCKS Caro--however I'm sure, like me, you believe in what goes around comes around. Although that's not helpful to you, people who do rudeski things like that eventually get it back their way!

Things like that always suck! However, the damage doesn't look that bad. From your photo it doesn't appear to be dented. And the paint smears should buff out if you have it done quickly. If you are charge $1k for that, you are totally being ripped off.
